Lewandowski or Kane? Basler: I choose Lewandowski but he is more selfish. Kane is a team player

November 4th: During eight years of playing for Bayern, Lewandowski played 375 times on behalf of the team and scored 344 goals. Kane has also maintained a very high scoring rate after taking over the Bayern No. 9 jersey left by Lewandowski. So far, he has scored 107 goals in 111 appearances. Bayern star Mario Basler said in response to the question "Lewandowski or Kane" that he still prefers the Polish superstar.

Basler said in an interview with "Goal.net": "This is a very difficult question to answer. There have been a lot of comparisons between the two recently. If possible, I really don't want to answer this question or choose both of them at the same time. Lewandowski is of course a very outstanding forward in Bayern's history. If I have to make a choice, it would be Lewandowski."

When asked whether Lewandowski's longer playing time at Bayern is a major advantage for him, Basler said: "Yes, he has played at Bayern for many years and has maintained a high scoring rate. I don't want to hurt the feelings of either party, but I still prefer Lewandowski.

"The two of them are very similar in some aspects, such as they are rarely injured and have strong scoring ability. I think Kane is more of a team player, while Lewandowski can seem very selfish at times. I observed that Kane not only dropped back into the midfield to participate in defense, but also distributed the ball well. I think Kane is more important to Bayern than Lewandowski. His contribution to the team is not limited to the offensive end, but also includes defense and team organization.

"I don't want Kane to leave Bayern, and I believe he also knows what he has at the club. More importantly, Kane has reached a certain age, and I am not sure whether he is willing to make any changes at this stage. I believe Kane is very comfortable at Bayern and hope he can end his career here."
