The 2025 "Governor s Cup" Jiangsu Youth Campus Football League closed in Rudong

On the morning of June 14, the 2025 "Governor's Cup" Jiangsu Youth Campus Football League Primary School Men's Group B competition closed in Rudong. On the same day, the Pukou Branch of Youfu West Street Primary School in Nanjing defeated the Riyue Road Primary School in Yancheng City and won the championship of this competition.

The 2025 "Governor's Cup" Jiangsu Youth Campus Football League is sponsored by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and the Jiangsu Provincial Sports Bureau, and hosted by the Jiangsu Provincial Football Association, Jiangsu Student Sports Association, Nantong Municipal Education Bureau, Nantong Municipal Sports Bureau, Rudong County People's Government, and Rudong County Education and Sports Bureau. Since June 9, the league has been held in 8 divisions in 8 competition areas. A total of 24 teams from all over the province participated, and 76 exciting competitions were held.

This is the third time Rudong has hosted the "Governor's Cup" series of events after the 2018 U9 Women's Elite Training Camp and the 2021 Primary School Women's North Competition. "Arranging this event in Rudong is an affirmation of the development of Rudong campus football work." Huang Weihua, deputy director of Rudong County Education and Sports Bureau, introduced that the county has 30 youth campus football specialty schools in the country, and two-thirds of the schools promote football projects as special projects, and have built a youth football talent training chain of "in-school competition-county league-selecting training", providing more systematic training and promotion channels for potential young people, and reserve talents for the development of football in Jiangsu Province and even the whole country.

In the next step, Rudong will continue to deepen the integration of sports and education, continuously optimize the campus sports curriculum system, deeply integrate sports such as football into daily teaching, and create a special physical education model of "one school, one product". At the same time, give full play to the superposition effect of "sports + cultural tourism", combine campus football events with Rudong's regional culture and tourism resources, and make sports a new carrier for spreading Rudong's culture and promoting the development of the cultural and tourism industry, and further enhance Rudong's popularity and reputation.
