Stop suing James! Lakers fans received compensation and dropped the lawsuit. They claimed $865.66 due to decision 2

On October 21, according to TMZ Sports, a Lakers fan who claimed to have lost money due to being deceived by LeBron James’s “Decision 2” has just applied to withdraw his lawsuit against the NBA superstar.

The documents we obtained show that the fan named Andrew Garcia applied to the Los Angeles County Court today to withdraw the small claims case against the "King". Just 12 days ago, the Lakers fan first claimed that the basketball player owed him $865.66.

Garcia said that on October 7, James told his hundreds of millions of fans that he had a big announcement, which seemed to imply that he was about to retire, so he quickly bought some tickets on Ticketmaster to watch LeBron's last game with his former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Garcia said two tickets to the March 31, 2026 game cost him $432.83 each, but when James' big announcement ended up being nothing more than a liquor ad, he claimed the tickets lost nearly all value.

Garcia wrote in the lawsuit that James owed him money because of "fraud, deceit, misrepresentation and any and all legal grounds for recovery," but this week, he told us, an unexpected message from PrizePicks made him change his mind.

He said a representative for the daily fantasy sports app told him they heard his story and wanted to offer him something, including free Lakers tickets and some souvenirs, for his trouble. Once he accepted the offer, he said, he decided he didn't need anything more from James.

As far as LeBron is concerned, neither he nor his team have ever publicly commented on this legal matter.
