The expansion of the

City Stadium is planned to rebuild the Peter Taylorstand and add some annexed buildings. After the expansion, the total number of seats in the city stadium increased from 30,404 to about 35,000 (after that, Nottingham Forest also intends to rebuild another stand at the stadium at the end, which will eventually bring the number of seats at the city stadium to 40,000).

The expansion of the city stadium was designed by the construction company Benoy. The company's CEO Katledge said in an interview that their family has a history of 72 years as a fan of Nottingham Forest. This design will modernize and upgrade the stadium while retaining its historical heritage.
