TA: Newcastle is pushing to rent out Frajodi Mos from Sevilla, and signed him last year to make the accounts
August 12 TheAthletic reported that Newcastle is promoting the loan of Greek goalkeeper Flajodi Mos to Sevilla. It is reported that Flajodi Mos will rent Sevilla out for one season, with no buyout clause. The 31-year-old goalkeeper joined Newcastle from Nottingham Forest last summer for £20 million (about $26.9 million), while Elliott Anderson transferred to Nottingham Forest in a reverse trade. The conclusion of these deals stems from Newcastle's urgent need to comply with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainable Development Rules (PSR) by June 30, 2024. Frajodi Moss was not Newcastle's goal at first, nor was it in Eddie Howe's plan. He only made a substitute last season in the League Cup against AFC Wimbledon. Sevilla hopes to sign Flajodi Mos on pure loan for one season, which does not include buyout options or terms, and Newcastle will bear most of his salary.
