Atletico Madrid official: Naples striker Laspadori joins the team and signs until 2030

Hupu, August 11th, Atletico Madrid officially announced that Laspadori joined the team.

Italian striker Giacomo Laspadori officially joins Atletico Madrid. After the club reached a transfer agreement with Naples, he successfully completed his medical examination and signed a five-year contract at the club's office at the Riyadh Air Metropolitan Stadium.

Laspadori (born in Bentivolio on February 18, 2000) is a versatile striker who can compete in all positions in the front line and play in the shadow front. He joined Sassuolo Youth Training in 2009 and made his first team debut against Atlanta on May 26, 2019. While in Sassuolo, he played in 82 games, scoring 18 goals and sending 9 assists. In the summer of 2022, he transferred to Naples and won the Serie A championship in his first season of joining the team. He defended his title again last season (2024/25). During his time at Naples, he played in 109 games, contributing 18 goals and 10 assists.

In terms of the national team, Laspadori made his first Italian national team appearance at the age of 21 on June 4, 2021, and was selected for the European Cup roster that year, winning the championship with the team. So far, he has made 40 appearances for Italy, scored 9 goals and had 6 assists.
