Signing Nike at the age of 10! Estewan: He was called "Messinho" when he was a child and was complained about being too strong

October 7th, Chelsea new aid Estewan was interviewed and talked about topics such as being complained by others because of his performance as a child and the title of "Little Messi".

I heard that you had caused some "trouble" because of your outstanding performance when you were a child?

(Estewan is so talented that his dominant performance in the local championship has caused complaints from his opponent's parents, who claim to send Estewan to cheat.)

"I love to score goals! That's the happiest thing when I was a kid. Whether I like it or not, I ended up being stronger than other boys. Even I can see the gap myself. Some parents are not very happy about it!"

You signed with Nike at the age of 10. What was it like to do at that time?

"I know Nike entirely because of Neymar. He was an idol in my growing up. He wore Nike sneakers when he played in Santos. But I was too young to really understand what it means to sign with Nike. In my mind, I just felt like I could get free sneakers every month. I had no idea how much influence this brand has around the world. When they told me that I would wear the same sneakers as Neymar, I was ecstatic."

You have the nickname "Messinho" (Little Messinho or Messinho), do you like this title?

"I don't remember who came up with this nickname, but it just spreads right away. I or my family don't like it very much. Sometimes, such a nickname becomes a burden you don't ask for. You just want to play football, do what you love, but that kind of label adds a pressure that doesn't belong to you. Thankfully, when I transferred to Palmeiras, I was able to leave it behind."
