Evans officially announced his retirement and will continue to stay in the club. He will be responsible for the loan of young players, working closely with football director Wilcox and future youth training supervisors to further improve the training process of young players and help them grow and enter the first team.

37-year-old Evans played for Manchester United twice, totaling more than 10 seasons. In the autumn of 2007, Evans made his debut for Manchester United's first team. He was an important member of the team's defense for the next seven seasons.

In the 2012-13 season, he and Ferdinand partnered with the central defender to help Manchester United win the Premier League championship last time. That season, as a defender, he scored 4 goals. After the 2014-15 season, he left Manchester United and returned to Old Trafford in 2023. During his two-time performance at Manchester United, he scored a total of 8 goals.
