Prediction of the European qualifying playoffs: Italy in the first pot, Ireland in the third pot

Hupu News November 17th After tonight’s World Cup European play-offs ended, the outlines of the 16 teams participating in the play-offs to compete for the four promotion places have begun to emerge.

According to the current points situation of each team (8 of them have confirmed to participate in the play-offs, whether other teams decide to participate in the play-offs will be decided after the final round), Italy, Turkey, Ukraine, and Poland will become the first pot of teams in the play-offs, Wales, Scotland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic will become the second pot, and Ireland, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo will become the third pot.

The team that advances to the play-offs through the first route of the UEFA Nations League group will be locked in the fourth pot.

According to UEFA rules, the 16 teams will be divided into 4 divisions according to the rules of one team in each pot. After a single-game tie-breaker competition in the semi-finals and finals within the division, the champion of each division will get a promotion spot.

The semi-final matches will be the teams in the first pot playing against the teams in the fourth pot at home + the teams in the second pot playing against the teams in the third pot at home.

The venue for the intra-regional finals will be determined after the regional draw.
