Newcastle United quotes want Frankfurt striker Ekitic

Newcastle United, a new Premier League addition, is about to finalize a 80 million euro transfer to poach Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike's transfer deal.

It is reported that Ekitic's agent Ali Bharat is currently finalizing the last few details at Newcastle United. Newcastle United signing the French striker will break Newcastle United Football Club's new record of transfer fees for Alexander Isaac in the summer three years ago.

Ekitic's personal terms have reached a preliminary agreement with Newcastle United, with a five-year contract, and the 23-year-old is ready for a medical examination. His former club, Paris Saint-Germain, will receive a 20% transfer fee share.

Newcastle United head coach Eddiehao is currently looking for a striker to play side by side with Isaac on the front line. He believes Ekitic will be the best partner in the Swedish striker's forward. It is reported that this transfer does not mean that Newcastle United is willing to give up Isaac and leave the team.

Ekitic spent a highlight season in the Bundesliga in the 2024/25 season, scoring 22 goals and contributing 12 assists in all 48 games in Frankfurt. The forward he and Marmush then partnered with were in the Bundesliga, until Marmush made his first move to Manchester City in the winter in January. Although Ekitic performed well in the French U-21 national team, Deschamps has not yet recruited him to join the French national team roster.
