Maresca: I have some expectations for the first half, the joy and fatigue of entering the Champions League are both affected

05 May 29th, Chelsea defeated Betis 4-1 to win the championship. Chelsea coach Maresca was interviewed by a sideline comment on the game.

Maresca told TNT Sports:

I am very happy. I was a little frustrated in the first half because I thought the way we got into the game was wrong. Also, I'm somewhat expecting this because after the victory over Nottingham Forest, the joy is a little too much as you've been waiting all season to qualify for the Champions League. So we struggled a little in the first half, we were much better in the second half, and now we are very happy. After the victory over Nottingham Forest, my message was, ‘Guys, if we want to be a big team, then the qualifying for the Champions League is done, and we have to win this final. ’ But the first half was the joy and fatigue, because we had 48 hours off less time than they did, they played an insignificant game on Friday and we played a game for extremely important goals on Sunday. So I was somewhat expecting the performance in the first half.
