Halfway through! Official: West Ham United signs Brighton 27-year-old central defender Igor on loan

West Ham United officially announced that the team signed 27-year-old Brazilian central defender Igor on loan from Brighton for one season.

Igor has made more than 200 appearances in the top leagues in England, Italy and Austria. After joining West Ham, he said: "I am very happy to be able to come to a club like West Ham with a long history and passion. I am ready to face the challenge and go all out to help the team."

Head coach Porter said: "Igor is an experienced central defender, very familiar with the Premier League. His ability and versatility will add important strength to us. I am very happy that he joined the team and look forward to his real strength at West Ham United."
