September 13th news Crystal Palace coach Glasner recently talked about Guy's stay at the team at the last moment of the window. He denied the statement that Guy threatened to resign as captain because of his dissatisfaction with the transfer.

Glasner said: "It is commendable that Mark (Gey) never threatened to stop training. He is a very honest person, which is why I never worried about this.

"As long as he is still here, he will be our captain because he is a very good player and has a very good character.

"Everyone can see his performance in England, he is 100% focused, and the same is true here. Media reports that he is resigning from his position as captain, which is purely a rumor."
