West Ham United officially announced the signing of Hermanson, the No. 1 goalkeeper was placed, with only once last season

West Ham United Club officially announced that it would sign Danish goalkeeper Mades Hermanson from Leicester City, with the transfer fee of £20 million. The two parties signed a five-year contract.

However, he failed to help Leicester City succeed in relegation last season. Hermanson, 25, made 27 appearances in the Premier League last season, but only completed one clean sheet and participated in the team's three wins (Leicester City finally ranked 18th in relegation).
