Van Dijk: Liverpool s defense has not played well; it needs to be improved, but we should not panic

Do you think Liverpool should lose?

"It's hard to say now (whether Galatasaray deserves this victory). They used our turnovers to get penalty and chance, and it was obvious that our defense was a bit careless.

We took risks in possession, trying to find the space between the two lines of the midfielder, especially some cross-border straight passes, which in itself comes with risks.

We broke through the last line many times, and maybe we need to do better in that. At those moments, we made bad decisions that would pose a threat to us.

Loss was awful, and both games didn't feel good. I've been playing for a long time, and the key is to work hard and keep a low profile."

How far are you from Liverpool's feeling of controlling the entire midfield last season?

"I think we've shown this in a lot of games this season, but unfortunately we haven't fully shown it in the 90-minute game.

This is completely normal, and now you don't have time to get such an opportunity from the outside world, so you have to stay strong.

I'm very confident that we have to keep working hard and unite. As far as points are concerned, we've started a good start this year.
