Many media: The municipal government approves Barcelona to open the first and second floors of the Camp Nou in stages

According to the original arrangement, the acceptance of the first phase of Camp Nou is that all the projects on the first and second floor stands are completed. In the new plan, this first phase is subdivided into 3 small phases for acceptance.

Stage 1a: Open the south stand and the rostrum, with a capacity of 27,000 people;

Stage 1b: Further open the long side stand on the other side, with a capacity of 45,000 people;

Stage 1c: Open the north stand and a capacity of 60,000 people.

Barcelona's idea is to slowly complete the engineering acceptance of phase 1b and 1c in the next few months after facing Valencia in September. As for the project of Phase 2, the third floor stand, it is expected to be carried out in the summer of 2026, that is, one year later. After completion, the total capacity of Camp Nou will reach 105,000 people.

And the fourth deputy mayor of the Barcelona Municipal Government, Yordie Vals (in charge of economic, finance, economic promotion and tourism affairs), also confirmed in an interview with the media on August 6 local time that the municipal government and Barcelona will focus on the "stage of 27,000 people" as the only feasible solution to open the Camp Nou Stadium to the public when La Liga starts.

But Vals reminded: "However, to obtain a (partially used) license, an ECA environmental control certificate, a project completion certificate and a (LesCorts) area license is required. This means that inspections must be conducted, especially security checks. Only when we have all these documents will we make the final decision."
