Four English players can save AC Milan more than 20 million in salary after leaving the team
After losing to Roma 1-3, AC Milan completely missed the European game next season. This summer window is expected to leave the team, including four England players. With the appointment of the new sports director and coach, Milan is expected to make some big moves in the summer window. The team's lineup will face major adjustments next, which means some players will leave. The website of Calciomercato reported that the first ones who left will be the two players who will join the franchise: Abraham and Walker. For the latter, the Ross and Blacks have decided not to activate his buyout clause (the buyout fee is 5 million euros). In January this year, Walker joined AC Milan on loan and will return to Manchester City after the end of this season. The England full-back will turn 35 on May 28, and he is still not in Guardiola's future plans. Manchester City has begun to bring in players with the same position as him. Abraham's situation is similar to Walker. He will definitely leave Milan and return to Rome at the end of the season. But after returning, he may just go through the motions. He hopes to return to the Premier League, but at present, only West Ham United has given an olive branch. The other two Chelsea veterans may take longer to say goodbye. Tomoly and Chick will both enter the transfer market, but their contracts will expire in June 2027 and are paid very well. The four English players ranked among the top 11 in the team: Abraham’s net annual salary was 4.5 million euros, Walker and Chick’s net annual salary was 4 million euros, and Tomoly’s net annual salary was 3.5 million euros. Overall, the net annual salary of four is 16 million euros, and the team will spend 23 million euros per season. After they leave the team, the team can save the money and invest in the signings.
