Ekitic: I hope to play a lot of games in Anfield, I m here to win

August 5th After two matches against Athletic Bilbao in a friendly match, Liverpool's new aid Ekitic talked about his home debut in an interview with the club's official website.

About your home debut at Anfield - I enjoyed it very much, it was my debut here, the atmosphere was great, and I was proud of it. Really wish I could play a lot of games on this stadium because it was awesome.

About Enjoying Work with Other Teammates

- Yes, obviously I've been here for over a week and I'm still trying to connect with my teammates on the last pass or otherwise. I love playing football with them and they are great people off the court. So, I'm so happy to play football with them.

We still have some small problems to do better. Even when I was in possession, I knew I could do better today. But I really enjoy playing with them and I believe we will have a very good result this season.

Regarding further tapping the team's potential, it's still early, this is the last friendly match before the Community Shield Cup. I think it's important to win the game today and play it with confidence. But the real season should start on Sunday’s Cup and we’re looking forward to it.

About preparation for the new season

—We have a group of competitors and we are eager to win everything. I'm sure we'll give it all, and I'm very confident about it. As for myself, I will do my best to win because I am here to win.
