26-year-old Arsenal star suffered a knee injury and is expected to be out for some time

Arsenal suffered a blow from injuries and Havertz is reportedly going to have to take a break. The German suffered a knee injury and did not participate in public training on Wednesday, August 20.

According to a report by David Ornstein in the Sports News, Havertz is being evaluated and Arsenal is waiting for how long he is away. The Gunners have not wasted their time and they have begun looking for a replacement in the transfer market that they can sign by the deadline.

The former Chelsea player also encountered minor problems in the pre-season and missed a 3-2 loss to Villarreal. Mikel Arteta talked about his absence and said they would not take risks with him and hoped he would come back soon. He said (via BBC):

"He didn't feel good in training yesterday, and this morning wasn't good, so we decided to give him a break. I think it's a few days, hopefully it's the weekend, and if everything goes according to plan, I think he will recover."

Havertz suffered a hamstring injury during a training session in Dubai in February and will miss the game this season.
