Russian city chief announced: May 22, 2025 is "Shay Gilges-Alexander Day"!
May 23rd NBA official announced yesterday that Thunder star Alexander was elected the most valuable player in the NBA regular season in the 2024-25 season. Today, Oklahoma Mayor David Holt announced Thursday, May 22, 2025 as "Shay Gilgers-Alexander Day"! Holt said on social media: "On behalf of the citizens of Oklahoma City, I congratulate Alexander on being named the NBA's Most Valuable Player!" In addition, Oklahoma City's landmark Devinta also played the words "SGA" and "MVP" through the top display that morning to celebrate the star's honor.
