Nuggets Jokic shot poorly in Game 4, admits: I need to do better
Nikola Jokic admitted his shooting performance in his fourth game of the Nuggets' loss to the Thunder on Sunday. NBA Playoff Western Conference Semi-Finals Sunday, the Denver Nuggets lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder 87-92, and Nikola Jokic's shooting performance was not ideal. After 43 minutes of playing, Jokic scored 27 points, 13 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists in the game. However, he made 7 of 22 shots in the game, including 2 of 8 three-pointers and 11 of 14 free throws. Jokic reflected on his own dilemma after the game. The star center knew his offensive efficiency was crucial to Denver winning the series, so he briefly and clearly explained what he needed to do. "I need to do better," Jokic said. Nicola Jokic and the Nuggets' next plan Nicola Jokic's shooting performance was disappointing, and the Nuggets wasted a 3-1 lead in the series against the Thunder. The Nuggets performed unprecedentedly poorly in the first quarter, scoring only 8 points, which further exacerbated the situation. While they returned to normal for the rest of the game, it wasn't enough to get the Oklahoma City Thunder to play enough in the final moments to tie the series. The Nuggets' shooting efficiency did not recover from the downturn in the first quarter. At the end of the game, the Nuggets' team shot 31.3% from the field, with free throw shooting percentage of 24.4%. They lost with 49-55 rebounds and 17-20 assists, which is part of the reason why the team failed to win Game 4 at home. The Nuggets have four players scoring in double digits, including Jokic. Jamal Murray scored 17 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds and 1 steal in the whole game. He made 5 of 15 shots in the game, including 2 of 5 three-pointers. Following closely behind is Christian Braun, who scored 17 points and 4 rebounds; Aaron Gordon contributed 15 points and 16 rebounds. Nuggets will face the Thunder in Game 5 to strive for a strong rebound and regain the lead in the series. The competition will be held at 9:30 pm ET on May 13.
