Boyan Bogdanovic announced his retirement and played for six teams including the Nets and Knicks in the NBA
Boyan-Bagdanovic announced on his personal social media that he would choose to retire. Bogdanovic wrote on social media: "Sometimes in life it is not your choice of time, but the timing of you. After fighting foot injuries for 14 months, experiencing two surgeries and returning to the field countless times, it is time to end a chapter of life. After more than twenty years of basketball career, it is time to say goodbye to this sport, not only as a sport but also as a part of me. It is hard to say in words Everything basketball has given me: it has shaped my athletehood and my personality. From Mostar's childhood to the initial stroll in football and water polo, this journey has been extraordinary. I have been lucky enough to play for many clubs that have left their mark in European basketball and the NBA: from Mostar, Zlinski, to Real Madrid, Murcia, to Hippona and Fenerbahce, every jersey makes me proud. NB A brings challenges and experiences in a new dimension. I have been wearing the Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards, Indiana Pacers, Utah Jazz, Detroit Pistons, and finally the New York Knicks jersey. Every stop is engraved with footprints, and each jersey carries a unique weight. Most importantly, I was honored to wear the Croatian national team logo on my chest. Playing for the national team is never a responsibility, but also a symbol of pride, emotion and identity. From the Youth Team To the adult team, playing for my motherland is the supreme honor of my career. Thanks to all the coaches, teammates, medical teams, fans and clubs for participating in my basketball journey in any way. Thanks to my family, you are the foundation for every peak and moment of confusion. I am closing this chapter, but my love for basketball never fades. I did not reach the end, but reached the other end of the starting point. ”
