Set a threshold! Durant s trading is only one step short, the three teams quotes are close, and the key puzzle is only short
The most important trading drama in the NBA offseason is about to come to an end!
According to famous reporter Shars Charania on the Pat McAfee Show, the deal negotiations about Kevin Durant have entered the final sprint stage. The three teams, the Heat, Rockets and the Timberwolves, are only "one or two puzzles" away from reaching an agreement, while the Suns management insists that the quote must meet their psychological threshold.
Shams said in the program: "The Suns have set clear quotation thresholds on the issue of trading Durant, and they will not easily lower the standards." This means that any team that wants to get Durant must provide enough chips, including a combination of high-quality combat power + multiple first-round picks.
It was previously reported that the best chips of the three teams, the Heat, the Rockets and the Timberwolves, were:
Heat: The previous offer was accused of being "stingy", and only provided Duncan Robinson + Jovic + 1 first round, and the Suns directly refused.
Rockets: Unwilling to send Jaylen Green or Shin Kyung, only VanVleet + Whitmore + draft picks, the Suns are not very interested.
Timberwolves: The current offer is the best (Gober + Divinchenzo + No. 17 pick + potential rookie), but Durant's own wishes are an obstacle
Shams revealed that the Heat, Rockets and Timberwolves all hope to finalize the final transaction details after the draft (June 26), because then each team may obtain new trading chips through the draft.
Although the negotiations are still dominated by one-on-one deals, Shams said: "If the deal involves multiple parties, it won't be a surprise." This means that there may be a fourth-party or even a fifth-party team involved to help match salaries or provide additional draft picks.
The soap opera has been going on for months from Durant's filing for a deal to the current white-hot stage.
As the draft approaches, Durant's whereabouts are about to be announced. Can the solar get the ideal reward as it wishes? Who will win in the Heat, Rockets, and Timberwolves? The winner of this "coward game" may surface in a few days!
