A-Smith said: "I don't like LeBron, and this feeling may never change. Something happened behind it, trying to destroy my reputation and integrity."

This storm began in a Lakers vs. Knicks game in March 2025. James had a face-to-face confrontation with Smith after the game, which Smith believed was James' response to his comments as his father. Smith then said on the show that it was not a basketball player talking to him, but a father expressing his emotions.
