On November 23, reporter Brandon Rahbar reported that he believed that although Paul only played for the Thunder for one season, he had a profound impact on professional basketball in Oklahoma.

When he was in the New Orleans Hornets, due to the disaster caused by Hurricane Katrina, some of his home games in his rookie season were played in Oklahoma City. Then when he returned to the Thunder a few years ago, he brought a team that was considered "rotten" to fifth place in the Western Conference, and guided Alexander in his first season in Oklahoma City, proving to the league that he was still an All-Star player.

Congratulations to CP3 on such a brilliant career. Chris Paul's last game in Oklahoma City was on December 18th, and his final night in Oklahoma City will be a huge ovation.
