Vinicius demands the same salary as Mbappe, Real Madrid contract renewal negotiations are in trouble again

The relationship between Vinicius and Real Madrid is deteriorating rapidly. According to Spanish newspaper Marca, the Brazilian star has recently requested a substantial salary increase, hoping that his salary level will be exactly the same as that of Mbappe, who joined this summer - no matter how much the latter earns, Vinicius demands the same amount (including bonuses).

Currently, Vinicius's contract with Real Madrid will last until the summer of 2027. Although the two sides restarted contract renewal negotiations at the beginning of this year (after being stalled for several months due to salary differences), the latest progress is not optimistic.

Vinicius's agency team - led by well-known agents Fred Pena and Tahillo Suarez - recently made a clear request to the club: his annual salary must be raised to the same level as Mbappe. It is reported that Mbappe joined Real Madrid as a free agent with an annual salary of up to 20 million euros (excluding bonuses). If various performance bonuses are included, the total can reach 30 million euros.

To show sincerity, Real Madrid has proposed a new contract with a fixed annual salary of 20 million euros (excluding additional bonuses), but Vinicius believes that this offer is "far lower than expected." You know, his current annual salary is about 15 million euros (including bonuses of about 17 million euros). Although it is one of the highest salaries in the team, there is still a clear gap with Mbappe.

Due to dissatisfaction with the conditions offered by Real Madrid, Vinicius has made it clear that if he cannot receive the same treatment as Mbappe, he will not rule out the possibility of seeking to leave the team during the contract period.

However, Real Madrid management has not given up hope. They believe that over time, Vinicius may adjust his demands appropriately so that both parties can eventually reach an agreement. After all, the 24-year-old Brazilian winger remains a key figure in the team's future plans. However, in the "Galaxy" where superstars gather and the salary structure is sensitive, this game around fairness and value is becoming more and more complicated.
