Shams Pacers sign center with Wiseman to replace Turner

CAA's Drew Morrison and Sam Rose told ESPN Friday that free agent center Isaiah Jackson has agreed to a three-year, $21 million contract to return to the Indiana Pacers. After losing Miles Turner in the free market, the Pacers re-signed big man James Wiseman to get seven-foot man Jay Huff through the trade, and now they are excited about Jackson's progress as another young member of the core roster. The

Pacers announced an agreement with Jackson late Friday, but did not disclose specific terms.

Jackson tore his right Achilles tendon in early November last year, thus missing most of last season's games. Just a few weeks ago, Wiseman also suffered an Achilles tendon injury, which limited Indiana's frontcourt choice early in that season.

In the 2023-24 season, this was his last fully healthy season, with Jackson averaging 7.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game, while playing time per game was less than 17 minutes. In the summer of 2021, after being selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round, Jackson was traded to Indiana through a deal involving five teams.
