Ranking the five NBA teams with the most first-round picks in the future
The 2025 NBA champion, the Oklahoma City Thunder, provides the standard for how marginal playoff teams can successfully accumulate multiple future picks and build on young prospects. The 2019 deal brought in current MVP Shay Kyrgyz-Alexander and a series of draft picks to Oklahoma City in exchange for Paul George, six years later, the deal became a blueprint for how the team can maximize the value of returns.
