Interestingly, Pacer Halliburton denounces media s "absurd comments" about his father
Indiana Pacers star Tyreth Halliburton is tired of negative media coverage of his father John Halliburton. The Indiana Pacers recently won a ticket to the NBA Finals by a big victory over the New York Knicks in Game 6. Pacers star point guard Tyres Halliburton, father, John Halliburton, was temporarily banned from entering the game after clashing with Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, who was watching the game in a high box. The Pacers have had an epic climax in the weeks since that brawl, almost unexpectedly, obscuring the initial controversy to some extent. However, Tyrese Halliburton recently criticized the media's coverage of the matter. According to ClutchPoints' Bretts' Bretts Segal, Halliburton said: "The comments surrounding my dad are a bit ridiculous. It's like this at times. It's the thing." NBA insider Mark J. Spears also confirmed that John Halliburton will indeed be in the upcoming NBA Finals. The Pacers’ big moments are now just four wins left to their first NBA championship, and it seems out of reach when the season starts staggering. Their poor performance at the beginning of the season was largely attributed to Halliburton's bad start, but he later overcomes that dilemma and regains his All-Star form early in the 2023-24 season. The Pacers’ game against the Oklahoma City Thunder will be challenging, with the Thunder so far dominating their journey to the NBA Finals, their first NBA top stage in 13 years. The Thunder have a wide variety of defensive players who can send various types of players to limit Halliburton's speed, and they also have league MVP Shay Gilgers-Alexander. Nevertheless, if the Pacers proved one thing on the playoff journey, it is that they will never be underestimated. The first game will be held at Oklahoma City Thursday at 8:30 pm ET.
