Howard: To defend Jokic, he should try to fight as much as possible, and continue to oppress him & attacks continue to attack him

May 14th News Former NBA player Howard was a guest at TNT Studio and was asked about how to defend Jokic.

Howard said: "Under today's rules, it's really difficult to limit him. You know, looking back on our previous matchup, my strategy to defend him was to exert physical confrontation as much as possible when he was pushing with the ball, and continue to press him as long as he was on the court. On the defensive end, I would frequently let him fall into pick-and-roll tactics, fight every rebound with all my strength, constantly hit him, and try to act as the team engine on both ends of the offense and defense. This is what the Thunder is doing now, which has indeed caused a lot of trouble for Jokic. But once he (Jokic) gets into the form, I think he will still play well, and they missed a lot of shots on the court."

Howard played for the Lakers before, and his defense against Jokic was excellent in the 2020 playoffs.
