Howard: James is trying to get Bryce to join the Lakers, join him and Brownie
According to recent articles by sports media F/W contributor Vishvisha Kumar. Former Lakers player Dwight Howard claims LeBron James is working to bring Brownie and Bryce to the Lakers. LeBron James has made it unabashedly stated that he wants to play with his eldest son, Brownie James, before the end of his legendary NBA career. However, according to former teammate Dwight Howard, the four-time champion may have a bigger plan – bringing his youngest son, Bryce James to the Los Angeles Lakers as well. "I asked LeBron. He said he wanted Brownie, and he said he was trying to get Bryce. The last time I told LeBron, he said, listen, I'm trying to get Brownie and Bryce to the Lakers, I'm trying to get Savannah to be — he's going to be the boss of the team, so it's a family matter, the whole James family." When he appeared on the podcast P recently with Paul George, Howard shared LeBron allegedly told him about his long-term vision for his basketball career and the Lakers. While Howard's comments about LeBron's ambitions are partly half-joking, the possibility of the Lakers increasing Bryce in the future is not as far-fetched as it seems. Bryce is currently a senior at Sierra Canyon High School and has promised to play in Arizona, but he is not considered a top-notch NBA prospect yet. As a three-star recruit, he may not be a once-for-all player like some other elite high school prospects. If Bryce chooses to stay in college for several seasons, LeBron may wait and stay in the league long enough to accommodate both his sons wearing purple and gold jerseys. This situation means that LeBron may have to extend his career for at least two years, depending on how fast Bryce develops and jumps into the NBA. Given LeBron's extraordinary longevity, it wouldn't be surprising if he could stay elite until his early 40s as Tom Brady did in the NFL. If Bryce doesn’t enter the league with a high pick, the Lakers can also find a way to acquire him as an undrafted free agent, further enhancing the possibility of the father and son reunion in Los Angeles. LeBron has begun the process of coaching Brownie at the NBA level. While Brownie hasn't made it to the Lakers' regular rotation, he's already showing a flash of potential in the G League. If LeBron is still committed to the idea of fighting side by side with his son, he may continue to help guide Brownie’s development until he is ready to take on a more important role. Adding Bryce to it will only increase the James family’s growing achievements in professional basketball. While LeBron's future in the NBA remains a major topic, his recent rumored goal is to play with both Brownie and Bryce, which may redefine his already historic career. If the Lakers are willing to achieve this, basketball fans may witness an unprecedented family dynasty unfolding in Los Angeles. But at present, there are reasonable developments. What do you think?
