Cole: Horford has excellent defensive awareness; he has enough experience and can create more space for Curry Butler

October 4th, Warriors coach Cole accepted an interview with reporters today.

Reporter: I think Horford will have a lot of time to fight with Dream Chasing. But like this, no matter when there are dreams or Horford on the court, is this a luxury for you?

Cole: Yes, I mean, Horford has a very good defensive awareness and has accumulated so much knowledge and experience in his career that it will definitely help him and the team. So, it’s only a good thing for us to have an extra big man with excellent athletic ability and can protect the basket. We now emphasize creating a better sense of space on the offensive end. For example, to play more "five foreign" tactics, the basic idea we do is to clear the penalty area and try to create the greatest operating space for Curry and Butler. Now we are more capable of doing this than before.

I mean, I think the biggest difference between us and other teams is that we have Stephen Curry. And Stephen is different from any other star because of his running without the ball. Horford reacted very quickly to this because his understanding of the game was excellent. He was able to find a position to cover Stephen on the weak side. Tactics are particularly easy to get started for him. He has run countless sets of tactics in his career, so we have also made some such attempts today. I was not worried about Horford's adaptation at all, he would be very easy to integrate into the team.
