0 points, 0 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 turnovers! Is this the starting point guard? Come on, the Kings, start him with Westbrook.
At the end of the game, the Denver Nuggets led by Nikola Jokic easily defeated the Sacramento Kings without much effort. In the end, the Nuggets defeated the Kings 122-108 in an away game to complete a season doubleheader! After this campaign, the Kings' record of three consecutive losses came to 3 wins and 8 losses, ranking third from the bottom in the Western Conference, only 0.5 games ahead of the deputy captain New Orleans Pelicans. There is no doubt that if the Kings continue to play like this, they will compete with the Pelicans and Mavericks for the position of deputy leader of the Western Conference. Frankly speaking, it is not surprising that the Kings lost to the Nuggets, the favorites to win the championship. Even if they were doubled in the season, it is completely understandable! After all, the disparity in strength between the two sides lies there. After the Nuggets completed a series of signings and reinforcements this summer, their team's hard power is much stronger than last season. You must know that the Nuggets were the only team in the playoffs last season that could beat the defending champion Thunder in seven games! Therefore, the Nuggets, whose lineup strength has been upgraded again, defeated the Kings by 14 points, which was completely expected. People can understand when the Kings lose, and people can understand when they lose to the Nuggets by 14 points! But the most incomprehensible thing about this game is the disastrous performance of starting point guard Dennis Schroeder. In this campaign, Schroeder started for 21 minutes, making 0 of 3 shots, 0 of 1 three-pointers, and no points. His statistics for this game were finally fixed at 0 points, 0 rebounds, 3 assists, 0 steals, 0 blocks, and 3 turnovers, with a plus-minus value of -14! The opposite Nuggets starting point guard Jamal Murray made 7 of 15, 4 of 9 three-pointers, 5 of 5 free throws, and scored 23 points, 3 rebounds, and 8 assists. Obviously, Schroeder was completely blown away by Murray! It would be understandable if Schroeder was so stretched out in this game only! But what is heartbreaking is that this is his third consecutive game with catastrophic performance. Four days ago against the Thunder, Schroeder made 0 of 10 shots, scoring 2 points on free throws, 2 rebounds and 8 assists, with a plus-minus of -25. Two days ago, against the Timberwolves, Schroeder made 1 of 6, 1 of 2 free throws, 3 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists, with a total game plus-minus of -15. Playing against the Nuggets today, Schroder made 0 of 3, 0 points, 0 rebounds and 3 assists, with a total game plus-minus of -14. There is no doubt that Schroeder is completely unworthy of being the Kings starting point guard. Not only can he not contribute when he plays, he can even be called a huge burden to the team. For the Kings to let such a person serve as the starting point guard is almost equivalent to surrendering in advance! So, if the Kings want to turn things around and stop their decline, then they must remove Schroeder's starting point guard. As for who is the best candidate to replace Schroeder as the starting point guard in the Kings, it must be Venus Westbrook. In the Kings' first 10 games this season, Westbrook started and played five games as a substitute. Among them, he averaged 20.2 points, 9.2 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game as a starter, shooting 52.8% from the field, 51.6% from three-point range, and 81.8% from free throws. When he came off the bench, Westbrook averaged only 9.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game, shooting 37% from the field, 35% from three-point range, and 61.5% from free throws. Data doesn’t lie! Westbrook's performance as a starter was very lively, but his performance as a substitute was greatly reduced. So, why don't the Kings give up Schroeder's starting point guard to Westbrook? Even so, they still won't win many goals, but starting Westbrook can at least play harder, harder and more passionately than Schroeder, not to mention his data crushes Schroeder. Take the data of the two of them today as an example. Schroeder only had 3 assists and 3 turnovers in the starting lineup, while Westbrook contributed 14 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists as a substitute. So, please ask the Kings to give up Schroeder's starting point guard to Westbrook, because he is really more qualified than Schroeder to be the team's starting point guard. What do you think about this?
